From August 7 through August 18, 2017, the INTOSAI Development Initiate (IDI) provided a training in Kingson, Jamaica. This training was directed at nine Supreme Audit Institutions of the Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (CAROSAI), among which Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St, Vincent and the Grenadines, Surinam and Curaçao. The principal topic of the training was the involvement of various interested parties.
In all, seventeen Representatives participated, of whom two from Curaçao. The training program comprised both theoretical and practical sessions. For each participating country, the various interested parties were mapped, depending on their specific situation. Based on this, strategies were developed to promote the relationship with the identified stakeholders. These strategies were further elaborated in action plans which, after approval of the Board of the Supreme Audit Institution of Curaçao are implemented. This trajectory is in full swing.
The most important goal of IDI is to support members of various Audit organizations in their efforts to improve their achievements, independence and professionalism durably.
