In July 2016, the CAROSAI held a thorough survey to determine the mandate, the needs and the priorities of its Members. Increasing expertise in Procurement Audit turned out to be a crucial necessity for fifteen Supreme Audit Institutions. That is why the Board of CAROSAI has set an innovative procurement audit in motion. This is carried out analogically by the Members, with a leading role for CAROSAI, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.
In this connection, the Supreme Audit Institution of Curaçao participates in a fascinating parallel procurement audit. The research focuses on the legality of the tender process for infrastructure works by the Ministry of Traffic, Transportation and Spatial Planning.
The program started with a dynamic workshop in Jamaica from May 29 through June 2, 2017. During this session, Participants were provided with powerful tools for planning, executing and reporting their research. This takes place in accordance with the highest standards of the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI). Besides, well-trained regional Facilitators of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) manage the audit. They are supported by an innovative eLearning Platform that has been specifically developed by IDI for CAROSAI.
