On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, the Governor paid a working visit to the Supreme Audit Institution of Curaçao. Various topics were discussed then with the Board of the Supreme Audit Institution, among which the results covering 2015 and 2016, the plans for 2017 and the international and regional cooperation with Audit organizations, such as the INTOSAI, CAROSAI and OLACEFS. The various digitalization projects that are now pending at the Supreme Audit Institution, the system of quality assurance and the ISSAI project (International Standards for Supreme Audit Institutions) that has to result in complying with the international standards for Supreme Audit Institutions. This will contribute to producing even more high-quality products.
The Governor also made the acquaintance of the Staff and exchange ideas on, among other things, pending research.
Both the Board and the Staff of the Supreme Audit Institution experienced the Governor’s visit as quite an honor.
